Lots of robots and halloween costumes
Comic Con is full of halloween costumes. This trade show and event is normally about comics and movies, but the halloween costumes definitely take the cake in attention getting. There are people who are not even interested in comics, but they go to this convention only to see the best halloween costumes available.
The adult costumes that are to be seen vary from Star Wars characters to GI Joe ninjas. The varying degrees and complexities of these costumes differ greatly and one can see the true imagination of what humans are capable of. Some of these people are definitely true fanatics of comics, and take great pride in showing off their love for certain characters, individuals, and comic characters.
The general population would probably think that these people are nerds and geeks who like to imagine living in a comic world. But is this so different a hobby than say a person being a fanatic at golf? A person who spends hours on end trying to perfect his swing and never does? Fans are fans, and Comic Con is the place where fans can express their true fanaticism. I attended last year and hope to keep going. My favorite booth is the Xmen booth every year.
