Orange and black are the colors of Halloween.  Mix some orange pumpkins with black bats or cats and put up some orange-and-black crepe paper and there you have it!  Halloween decorations!

I have been called 'nosy,'  but essentially I'm just inquisitive.  I started pondering why orange and black are the colors of all Halloween decorations.  Did Congress pass a law declaring orange and black the chosen official colors of Halloween?  No.  This is one thing that I'll tell you that Congress had nothing to do with.  Here are the ideas about why orange and black are the colors of Halloween :

Make it scary to look at when it's dusk or very late at night. Spooky is the name of the game. Employ spooky music and maybe even some animated ghouls.

The addition of a fog machine can top off just the right haunted appeal.
