Planning a 1st Birthday Party

May 30, 2010 · Posted in Kids Parties, Theme Parties

Planning a first birthday party is so fun.  There are so many ideas out there from pirates to princesses that you can certainly overwhelm yourself when you think of all the endless possibilities.

There are so many things to think about the guests, the food, and most importantly 1st birthday party themes.

One of the most popular themes for a boy or even a girl nowadays is a pirate party.

You can find pirate party favors, plates, cups, and other party goods at most any discount store.

While it is a party for your one year old, there are sure to be older children at the party and a quick party game could be a treasure hunt.

This is a quick individual game that can be played with community effort.  This helps you so that you do not have to be in charge of a complicated party game.

Of course with any baby girl you must consider the princess theme.  You can take a generic princess or a commercialized princess theme.

Just like the pirates you will find many party goods out there for you to purchase to make it just like a dream come true.  You could also consider having a tea party for the older children that come.

You can also take your one year old's favorite character and turn that into a party theme.  There are many wonderful television shows out there that would turn into a great party.  You can even have the music playing in the background.

A favored party theme is Dr. Seuss.  What a wonderful way to add to your child's book collection as many people will bear gifts of Dr. Seuss books for your little one.

You can also have prizes for some simpler party games of a Dr. Seuss book.  I know many mothers will appreciate a book for a gift rather than a bag of small trinkets.

Whatever you decide it is sure to be a wonderful party for your one year old.  You only turn one, once and you certainly want to be able to have wonderful memories for your friends, family, and of course your memory book.
