Make Your Own Easy Halloween Home Decorations
Some ideas for the yard:-
Whether or not you are planning to host a Halloween party, tidying up your home for the holiday is
a wonderful way of getting into the spirit of the season. Before beginning, take a look at the space you’re going to decorate and think about possible ideas.
There are lots of easy Halloween decoration ideas you can do such as hanging bats off the chandeliers, sitting a mummy on the couch, or spreading cobwebs on the bookshelves. You don't have to pay a fortune to redecorate your residence. Think about the items you already have in your home, such as old sheets and lights, and put them to good use.
Eerie music from a stereo will create the right mood. If you have some plywood, you could cut out some spooky gravestones? You can paint them grey and write some funny epitaphs on them. Try covering them with cotton cobwebs and setting them up around your backyard. Angle some floodlights onto them at night, and for that extra spooky effect, put a fake arm coming out of the ground in front of one of them.
Point bright lights into the trees to cast ghostly shadows. Suspend ghosts made out of sheets from the porch ceiling and trees. Line up some jack-o’lanterns or uncarved pumpkins along your front path and up the front steps.
For inside the house:-
Some Halloween decoration ideas Dim the lighting. You can either turn out the lights and use low-lit lamps or candles, or cover lampshades with dark cellophane paper. Try to avoid any contact with bulbs as this may be a fire hazard.
It is easy to make bats out of construction paper and hang them with thread from the ceiling, light fittings, or door frames. Create a centerpiece on your dining room table with pumpkins, autumn leaves, and cotton cobwebs. Fill up a large cauldron with dry ice and let it bubble and boil all through the night in the corner. Do not let anyone touch the ice.
Make sure your house is haunted by stuffing a mummy, grim reaper, scarecrow, or one of each, and propping them up around the house. Cut out silhouettes of ghosts, bats, witches, and black cats in the classic Halloween pose from large pieces of paper and use painter’s tape to affix them to the walls and windows.
Silhouettes of small bats can be taped to the insides of lampshades. Cotton cobwebs and plastic spiders will take care of any bare areas. So get your imagination working for other Halloween decoration ideas.
