Optimus Prime Costume – Bringing The Hero Out In Your Child
The Optimus Prime 3D costume is one of the most popular this Halloween season as little boys everywhere want to transform into their favorite hero. Batman, Spider man, Superman…those are old school. Optimus Prime 3D is the modern day version of the classic hero, the one who steps in with bold action, and bravely saves the day.

Like all good leaders, Optimus is devoted to his cause, and determined to improving the lives of those around him. He has a strong sense of justice, and is committed to protecting all life on Earth, particularly that of humans.
Optimus is compassionate, brave, and fights with unyielding resolve. He also has the ability to transform into a big truck. What more could a little boy ask for?? The appeal of this character for little boys (no matter what age) has been phenomenal. In fact, Optimus was featured in an episode of Comedy Central’s South Park, on NBC’s show Scrubs, and was even in a print ad for Nokia’s 6820 phones.
Of course, there is also a full line of Optimus merchandise for children, including several versions of the transformer toy, video games, book bags, etc. So why has he become such an icon in our modern age? Because the character of Optimus appeals to the hero in all of us. He’s the voice inside our head that wants to right the wrongs and create a better world.
Even kids understand this desire. And they can literally step into this role, complete with foam cuffs and a character mask. Optimus allows them to become the hero, and to prevail over the evil forces around them. When so much is out of a child’s control, this little reprieve, even for only a few hours, can mean so much more to them than just slipping into a Halloween costume.
Optimus represents the ability to choose their own path, to lead themselves into whatever battles come their way, and to emerge triumphant. Optimus may be the modern day version of what a hero looks like, but what he stands for, is the time honored tradition of all heroes – bravery, integrity, and a steadfast resolve to do what’s right, though it may not be the easiest path to follow.
